Becky Padgett
Chief People Officer
Wells Real State Funds, Inc.
Becky Padgett is the Chief People Officer at Wells Real Estate Funds, and is responsible for building and leading an exceptional team with the purpose of developing, serving, and caring for all aspects of the human resources needs of the company's employees. She serves as the keeper of the culture, standards, and ethics of the organization.
Prior to joining Wells, Ms. Padgett was a consultant with The Mulling Group, the leading outplacement and executive coaching firm in the Southeast.
Her professional experience also includes senior human resources positions with Equifax, Inc., and Wachovia, where she had extensive experience and responsibility for workforce planning, affirmative action, and employee relations. She also pioneered and implemented a major human resources information system and has over 30 years of experience in the human resources field.
Ms. Padgett is an active member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), World At Work (formerly the American Compensation Association), and the prestigious Human Resources Planning Society. She has been a sought-after speaker at SHRM forums and has served on the faculty of in-house universities.
Ms. Padgett attended Mercer University and completed her academic studies with a major in human resources at Brenau University in Atlanta. She also has attended the University of Georgia and Duke University Executive Development Programs.
Ms. Padgett is a native Atlantan and now resides in suburban Norcross. She has held various teaching and leadership roles, was a children's choir director at Norcross First Baptist Church, and is a soloist at Peachtree Corners Baptist Church. She also enjoys volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity, Emmaus, and the Gwinnett Philharmonic.
