Jess Jarratt
President
Wells Timberland Management Organization, LLC.
As president of Wells Timberland Management Organization (TIMO), Jess Jarratt is responsible for directing and managing all aspects of timberland operations for Wells, including timberland acquisitions and dispositions, portfolio and property management, and timberland financing.
Prior to joining Wells, Mr. Jarratt was a managing director for SunTrust Robinson Humphrey's Structured Real Estate Group, where he was responsible for structuring and purchasing net leased real estate for SunTrust's dedicated equity account, and for originating financing vehicles for agricultural and timberland properties.
Mr. Jarratt previously served SunTrust Robinson Humphrey as managing director for the Capital Markets Origination Group, and group vice president of the AgriFood Group, a division he founded and grew to over $1 billion in assets.
Prior to his tenure at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, Mr. Jarratt was vice president for Rabobank International, a multinational Dutch bank, where he led corporate lending activities for U.S. agribusiness, timberland, and forest products companies. Before that, he served as timberland investment officer for a predecessor entity that became Hancock Timber Resource Group, and he held forester positions with Kirby Lumber Company, Nekoosa, and the Texas Forest Service.
Mr. Jarratt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry from Texas A&M University and a Master's of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of North Texas. He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and he has completed the Harvard Business School Executive Agribusiness Program. Mr. Jarratt is also a member of the Institute of Management Accounting.
