Before 1960, ordinary investors could not easily reap the benefits of owning
large commercial properties. That territory was reserved mainly for wealthy
investors and institutional investors.
The Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) Act of 1960 changed the real estate
investment business by making it possible for
investors like you to be able to indirectly own income-generating real estate.
How? By pooling money with other investors into a REIT and letting a
professional firm acquire and manage the properties. And that's where Wells Real
Estate Funds comes in. For more than 20 years, we have acquired and managed
commercial real estate for individual investors like you. That means that as a
real estate investment manager, we have the knowledge and experience you can
leverage now and in the long term.
