Wells and Employees Contributing to Hurricane Katrina Relief

NORCROSS, Ga., September 2 - Employees at Wells Real Estate Funds, a real estate investment management company based in suburban Atlanta, staged a fund-raiser Thursday for victims of Hurricane Katrina. In two hours, more than $11,000 was contributed to the American Red Cross.

The company has pledged to match employees' personal donations, thereby doubling the amount raised so far to $22,000. Wells will continue to match employee donations next week. In addition, the company will provide a paid day off to employees to work in hurricane-related relief efforts. Wells employs some 450 people.

"Our hearts and prayers go out to the many thousands of families who have been affected by this terrible tragedy," said company President Leo Wells.
